Parties & Functions
At Lory Park kiddies parties are an exciting outdoor adventure, where kids are able to have fun and enjoy nature at the same time.
For the kids there is a jumping castle and play area. All sorts of entertainment throughout the day:
Ambassador animals - where children are able to interact with interesting creatures such as, Snakes, bearded dragons, tortoises and hedgehogs. These animals will be brought around the zoo throughout the day.
Owl feeding - is a unique experience for all ages (except babies)to engage with our Spotted eagle owls – 11am and 2pm
Big cat enrichment – Our animals also need to be entertained and stimulated just like children! So we give you and your children the opportunity to see how we do this and enjoy our animals having fun! – 12pm
Big cat feeding – Yes our precious beasts need to eat too! See how they devour their food! – Between 2:30pm and 3pm ,time depending on weather and visitors.
Bunny petting and feeding - Purchase a bunny food packet and kids can enjoy some bunny fun!
If this is not enough to keep your little ones busy then there are also animal encounters with cubs at an extra charge.
Please note cub encounters will be ever changing, depending on births or new arrivals – we will keep you updated on our home page.
Age restrictions will apply depending on the age and size of cubs.
Catering:
You are welcome to do your own catering and make use of the following facilities:
Braai area: Free of charge - Includes tables and chairs. Please remember to bring firelighters and charcoal. We no longer sell.
Picnic areas: Free of charge – Grass areas in the park.
Small lapa: R 500.00 for the day: Situated between Lions and Tigers – Includes tables and chairs. Table cloths on request.
Big lapa: R 1500.00 for the day: Situated next to the tea garden – Includes tables and chairs. Table cloths on request.
There is a kiddies party meal available at R 70.00 per child – Hot diggity dog, consisting of: Hot dog (available in vegetarian), packet of crisps, cool drink and an ice cream.

No self catering is allowed in the tea garden area – a cover charge of R 250.00 will be applicable.

Company Functions
Lory Park is a great place for company functions. What better place to get to know your colleagues than at the Park, and getting to know our animals. At the end of the day, your Company may wish to support Lory Park by sponsoring one of our animals.

ENTERTAINMENT AREAS AVAILABLE AT LORY PARK
PICNIC AREAS
You are welcome to picnic anywhere in the Park as long as you are not blocking Park services. You are not charged for picnicing and you may bring your own food and drink. But please support our tea garden shop where possible..
BRAAI AREAS
Lory Park has a few braai areas scattered around the park. These braai areas are at your disposal free of charge but you will need to bring your own food and utensils.
TEA GARDEN
Our Tea Garden is open to everyone including small parties and groups but a R250.00 levy will be charged for all self catering parties using the tea garden area.
NO ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT INTO THE ZOO.
LARGE LAPA
The large lapa may be booked for functions and parties at a rate of R 1500 per day. Situated close to the tea garden, it is the ideal location for a large group.
SMALL LAPA
The small lapa situated between the Tigers and the Lions enclosures and accommodates about 20 people comfortably. This lapa is available at R 500 per day and has a large braai next to the lapa.
