Another mile stone for Lory Park.
I could not help but feel absolute pride, joy and a tinge of nostalgia, as I took delivery of our vehicle, together with Kelly today. It took me back 14 years, to a time when Lory Park had just opened, a small bird park that nobody knew about, struggling to make ends meet and Cowan signs a reasonably new company in its infant stages, not realizing what heights it was to be taken to by its founder and owner Helena Cowan. Since those early days Helena and her company have played an integral part in the growth and success of Lory Park. I can’t imagine how we would possibly be able to give our visitors the information so vital to an education centre such as ours, or how we would acknowledge our dear and cherished sponsors without the hundreds of plaques that Cowan has sponsored over the years.
Lory Park is finally on the map, and Cowan signs have grown and flourished in the last 14 years and I truly believe it is due to the common grounds and principles on which we run our establishments. In all these years Helena although successful and a community icon in her own right, she has never changed her hearts values. Helena is sincere, kind, generous and yet strong and focused. Her contribution to the community is immense, and you only have to drive around Midrand to see the impact she has made. Countless charities bare the proud but subtle logo of Cowan’s sponsorships.
Eddy, myself and Lory Park as a whole, would like to thank Helena, Michelle her beautiful daughter and their amazing team, for always keeping their feet on the ground and their hearts on their sleeves, they are such a good example of “what you sow, you shall reap”. It is astounding how one can feel their joy by merely entering the door. We are forever grateful and so privileged to have had the good fortune of sharing our past, and hopefully a long future with such amazing people.
We are truly proud of our vehicle and we thank Cowan for the exquisite artwork, we carry your name with great joy and excitement wherever we go.
