At Lory Park, our mission is clear: "Creating a greater conservation awareness among our young." This commitment drives our educational programs and school tours, which we approach with passion and dedication.
Non-Guided Tours
Non-guided tours allow teachers and caregivers to supervise and guide their students through the park at their own pace.
Cost: R 90.00 per child
Guided Tours
Our guided tours provide a more immersive experience. Upon arrival, large groups are divided into smaller ones, each led by a knowledgeable tour guide. The tour includes:
-
A comprehensive exploration of the park, covering habitats, origins, diets, conservation efforts, and fascinating animal facts.
-
A break for students to enjoy snacks or lunch, with a tuck shop available.
-
Interactive encounters with contact animals, allowing students to touch and learn more about specific species. (Availability of animals may vary.)
If your class is studying a particular animal, let us know when booking, and we’ll tailor the tour to meet your educational needs. The tour concludes with a Q&A session.
Cost: R 95.00 per child
For every 25 children, one teacher attends for free.
Guided tours are for children ages 6 and up; contact sessions for younger children can be arranged.
Please note: We do not conduct school tours on Mondays.
For nursery and private schools with parent involvement, standard adult entrance fees apply.
Adult Guided Tours
We also offer guided tours for adults in groups of 10 or more.
Cost: R 125.00 per person
